Got a passion for fashion? Let your imaginative vision shine as you showcase your very own collection down the sparkling lights of the runway. Tap into your creativity and design your own line of clothing while learning the practical skills of the fashion industry.

Program Overview
The one-year fashion diploma program is taught in an environment where hands-on learning and creativity blend. Our colourful fashion design studio is equipped with industrial sewing machines, layout tables and professional dress forms and mannequins. While learning pattern drafting and construction techniques, courses in fashion history, textiles, design and draping further develop students understanding of the fashion industry. This program will enhance the students' creative ability and talent by providing them with a strong foundation in fashion illustration and design. Students will learn about the business behind the fashion industry as well as fashion show production, merchandising and buying. The school and public are invited to the year-end, fashion show held at one of Victoria's most prestigious venues. Working with professional models, make up artists, VJs, and hair stylists, students showcase their own clothing line. Graduates leave with a portfolio of illustrated designs and a collection of garments they have designed and constructed.

Occupational Opportunities
Fashion designers are employed by garment manufacturers, as buyers for clothing companies, or as costume designers for theatre and film production. They may work as fashion consultants or in window display. They may be self-employed designing their own clothing line or designs for their own clientele. They can specialize in the many areas of accessories, hats, handbags etc.
