Learn to draft flat sewing patterns for tops, skirts, pants and dresses.
This class will work through taking a set of measurements and converting them to make basic
pattern shapes. The class will then look at manipulating commercial patterns and interpreting
a variety of different designs.
Course Length
6 weeks long, includes 12 - 3 hour sessions.
Course Overview
Students will complete this course with not only a full set of standard pattern blocks and
patterns but also the skill to create and construct clothing patterns on their own.
Students should bring a quilting ruler, a curved ruler as well as a pen and paper.
All other supplies will be provided by the Pacific Design Academy.
