This six week certificate course introduces participants
to Vectorworks; a full featured drafting and design program.
Course Length
6 weeks long, includes 12 - 3 hour sessions.
Course Overview
Learn your way around the Macintosh operating system, and Vectorworks software,
one of the most widely used CAD programs in the building design industry.
Students will learn drawing setup, the use of walls, parametric doors & windows,
2D geometries, dimensioning and annotation, classes, 2D and symbols and controlled
duplication. Basic building construction theory will also be covered.
Finishing project will include designing part of a residential home and deck.
Prerequisites
Prior computer experience and strong electronic file management skills are highly recommended
for success in this course.
